The Start of Our Tour (Joroinen - Krakow)

29 April
Our trip started at half past one in the morning on Saturday night. We drove to Helsinki and got onto the ship for Tallinn at 7.30. Aboard we had some coffee, had some breakfast and some of us even did some shopping. From the harbor in Tallinn we drove to Riga through Estonia. The evening was free and our group went to the Old City by bus. We had some traditional food in an international restaurant. The food was  good and inexpensive. After dinner some of us went back to the hotel while others kept exploring the city.

30 April
We left Riga at 8.30, a little late since not everyone was able to wake up early enough. Everything went pretty well on the bus, though; we had excellent food for lunch, some of us fell asleep because of the rough night before and you could hear people chatting and playing card games.

When we had driven for six hours or so, we arrived at the border of Poland. After changing some money and figuring out how to pay for the toilets, we continued and arrived at our motel after a couple of hours. The motel was near Lomza, in Piatnica. The place was small but pretty and the motel had nice food and rooms, we think so, even though everyone won't agree. In the evening we explored the "Tsarist Fort Comlex" built in the 20th century. After that we explored the town more and returned to the motel, some early, others later...

1 May
The journey continued to Krakow at 8.30 in the morning. There were a few stops but we arrived in the city at around five o'clock. We spent the evening learning how to use the tram and looking around the Old Town. There were a lot of sights and beautiful buildings. We even managed to do a couple of exercises for our school project. Some of us bought our first souvenirs. The first three days have been fun, even though there have been some mishaps, such as a lost credit card.
